Why should you become a Georgia Chapter member?
Why not!? Seriously, because the Georgia Chapter offers a lot of great benefits, including:
-Discounted registrations at our spring and fall conferences (which both include opportunities to earn continuing education credit by attending timely technical presentations, meet with trade show vendors who serve the industry, and network with peers). -The opportunity to foster relationships with others solid waste professionals in the state. -Access to Georgia Chapter "News You Can Use" emails with regulatory and legislative updates, safety alerts, and details for all chapter-related activities. -The ability to mix, mingle, and recognize the hard work of the industry's frontline staff by participating in the chapter's annual Road-E-O and Waste & Recycling Workers Week activities. -The chance to apply for a Georgia Chapter Award recognizing outstanding performance in many different areas. Click here for details. -The ability to participate in state landfill operator training, which the chapter works in partnership with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Environmental Protection Division and the University of Georgia in Athens to conduct in January and July annually.
