MISSION

Our mission is to Educate, Innovate, and Communicate. Representing SWANA's core functions, these three words also categorize the many benefits SWANA association members receive.

Educate

Our chapter hosts two annual conferences a year (one in the spring, one in the fall) and works with the University of Georgia's Office for Continuing Education to conduct two Landfill Certification Training Courses each year (one in January, one in July). In addition to educational opportunities provided by our chapter, members have access to National SWANA educational events.

Innovate

SWANA's research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) efforts are the spark that ignites the cutting-edge training, and educational programs that make today's trends into tomorrow's emerging technologies. To learn more, visit the National SWANA website.

Communicate

A test of the value of any association is its ability to communicate with its members. The Georgia Chapter of SWANA is no different. The focus of our communication outreach is this website. Our site is your central location for specific information about our activities accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
